Product Description

The swivel includes two main categories, which are common swivel and double duty swivel. Double duty swivel is a common swivel combined with a spinner. Common swivel consists of swivel bail, shell, support, gooseneck, central pipe, master bearing, joint and other parts. The lower end is connected with kelly stem by REG thread. The swivel bail is hung on the hook. Gooseneck and rotary hose can be connected by REG thread connection or union connection.
Washpipe packing set assembly adopts cassette structure, so it can be quickly replaced without disassembling rotary hose and gooseneck. 3LP and 4LP internal or external thread hose connection thread are available for you. We can also manufacture low temperature resistant swivel according to customer's requirements.
Our swivel meets API SPEC 8CPSL1 standards. It has been awarded the API certification issued by the American Petroleum Institute and is allowed to use API monogram.
A swivel is a crucial component in a drilling rig, allowing the drill string to rotate while enabling the circulation of drilling fluid. Here's how it works:

1. Positioning: The swivel is located directly under the traveling block and above the kelly drive.
2. Rotation and Fluid Passage: It allows the kelly and the drill string to rotate while maintaining a stationary position for the traveling block. Simultaneously, it provides a passage for drilling fluid to be pumped down the drill string to the bit.
3. Components:
- Gooseneck: Connects the rotary hose to the swivel.
- Bail: Connects the swivel to the traveling block.
- Packing and Seals: Prevent fluid leakage while allowing rotation.
- Bearings: Facilitate smooth rotation of the drill string.
