Product Description

Kava is a tool used to hold and suspend the drill string and casing string during the drilling process.
Kawa is composed of Kawa pieces, Kawa teeth, and a handle. It has a conical shape and can be wedged into the inner hole of the turntable; The inner wall is enclosed into a circular hole, which is equipped with slip teeth. The drill pipe slip is a three piece structure connected by a hinge pin shaft, while the drill collar slip and the casing slip are a four piece structure connected by a hinge pin shaft.

Drill collars without joint shoulders and collarless casings should use safety slips to prevent accidental slipping off the well from the slips. The safety slip mainly consists of a tooth plate sleeve, slip teeth, springs, adjusting screws, nuts, handles, and connecting pins. By increasing or decreasing the number of tooth plate sleeves, adjustments can be made to meet the needs of clamping different sizes of drill collars.
According to the number of slips, they can be divided into three piece, four piece, and multi piece slips; According to the clamping object, it is divided into drill pipe slips, drill collar slips, casing slips and tubing slips, basket slips, spiral slips, etc.

The inner wall of the slip has many steel teeth. During operation, the rotary device of the drilling rig drives the slip to rotate, and the drill pipe rotates with the support of the slip.
