1.Introduction
casing brush is one of the indispensable auxiliary tools for well completion, testing and downhole operations. Its main purpose is to remove the residual attachments after the scraping operation of the downhole casing inner wall scraper, protect the cleaning of the casing inner wall, and facilitate the normal operation of all drilling tools. Usually used in conjunction with casing scrapers. Type GS (Type I) casing brushes are not intended for drilling while drilling.
2.Structure
) casing brush (hereinafter referred to as casing brush) is composed of a mandrel, a righting sleeve, a steel brush support, and a steel brush. The straightening sleeve is installed in the middle of the mandrel, and the diameter of the straightening sleeve is slightly less than the inner diameter of the casing, which can be freely rotated on the mandrel and play a righting role when cleaning the inner wall of the casing. Select the center sleeve and steel brush of different sizes according to different casing inner diameters.
3.Working principle
After cleaning the inner wall of the casing through the casing scraper, because the scraper of the scraper is rigid, there will be a small gap with the inner wall of the casing, and there will be some attachments left after the scraping operation, then the steel brush can be used to further clean the casing. The steel brush has toughness, which can fully contact the inner wall of the casing and brush the inner wall of the casing. The righting sleeve plays a centering role, so that the steel brush on the circumference can be in uniform contact with the casing inside, while protecting the steel brush from excessive extrusion with the casing inside.
4.Operating Instruction
Use the lift sub to move the tool to the drill floor. Avoid friction between sling tool and steel brush.
After the steel brush scraper is lowered into the inside of the string, it moves up and down or turns to clean the casing.
The casing brush shall be connected behind the scraper or the casing shall be scraped with the scraper first.
5.Maintenance
5.1 It should be cleaned after each use and not stored for a long time to avoid corrosion of the steel brush.
5.2 Check the parts visually and replace the steel brush if the hair brush is seriously worn.
5.3 All major parts should be inspected for defects. When assembling, each thread part is coated with high-quality grease, and other parts are coated with enough anti-rust oil, so that the casing brush is in good condition for use.
5.4 Disassembly steps:
5.4.1 Assembly:
(1) Load the steel brush into the steel brush bracket;
(2) Install the steel brush bracket into the slot of the mandrel; Install the righting sleeve and tighten the righting sleeve with screws.
5.4.2 The disassembly process is the opposite of the assembly process.
