Drawworks, also known as winch, is a light and small lifting equipment that uses a drum to wind a steel wire rope or chain to lift or tow heavy objects. Winches can lift, level, or tilt heavy objects vertically. Winches are divided into three types: manual hoists, electric hoists, and hydraulic hoists. Mainly using electric winches. It can be used alone or as a component of machinery such as lifting, road construction, and mine hoisting. It is widely used due to its simple operation, large amount of rope winding, and convenient relocation. Mainly used for material lifting or towing in construction, water conservancy engineering, forestry, mines, docks, etc.
 

Pneumatic winch is a type of winch that uses compressed gas provided by an air compressor as the power source. Compared with traditional electric winches, pneumatic winches have the characteristics of explosion-proof, dust-proof, and anti liquid splashing, making them more suitable for working in harsh environments. Therefore, pneumatic winches are widely used in industries such as ships, oil extraction, mining, and power.
The pneumatic winch is composed of a pneumatic motor, reducer, brake, clutch, drum, overload protection device, and control valve. The traction force is 200kg, 500kg, 1T, 2T, 3T, and 5T, and the traction length can reach 350 meters.

 

Design Features of mechanical drawworks:

All bearings are roller bearings. Shafts of drawworks are made of alloy steel.
Chains with forced lubrication can transmit with high accuracy and high strength.
Drum of drawworks is grooved. Ventilating air clutches constitute the high and low speed ends.
Brake drum (brake disc) is forcedly cooled with circulating water.
Drawworks surface is intermediate-frequency quenching-treated, and is durable.
Tooth profile of sprocket is intermediate-frequency quenching-treated. Involute-spline-tooth type clutch is used as shifting clutch.
Main brake is band brake or disk brake, auxiliary brake is Electromagnetic eddy current brake (water-cooled or air-cooled).
