Mud pump Crosshead:
Crosshead is a system that creates linear reciprocating motion derived from the crankshaft's rotary motion through the connecting rod. The reciprocating motion of the crosshead is applied to the piston via the extension rod. The crosshead is the critical part of the power end of the mud pump.
1).--Crosshead Assembly consists of the crosshead, crosshead pin and crosshead guide plate(slide), etc. BAORUI can supply crossheads, crosshead pins, and crosshead slides(guide plates) for most of the mud pump models.
2).--The Crosshead pin is the component between connecting rod and crosshead.
3).--The difference between crossheads in the metric system and the British system is the screw hole.
Mud Pump Crosshead * The crosshead slides in the upper and lower guide plates, pushing the extension rod to transfer the power to the fluid end. One end of the crosshead is fixed to the extension rod. The crosshead connects the small end of the connecting rod by the crosshead pin.
* Besides the F-500 mud pump that is cylindrical structure, upper and lower guide structures are used for other mud pumps so that the concentricity can be adjusted by adding space under the lower guide.
* The connection between the crosshead and the extension rod is made by using bolted flange. The rigid connection ensures the concentricity of the crosshead and the extension rod.
